The ancient Egyptians believed the eyes of the god, Horus, symbolized the sun (light) and the moon (darkness) and were alleged to see 'all things' - no one was safe from their gaze. Symbolizing protection, the eyes decorated sarcophagi and were believed to allow the deceased to see their way to heaven.
Wax impression of an ancient Egyptian hieroglyph has been modified and transformed into a wearable piece of art through the lost wax casting process. Each piece is uniquely made by hand.
